Matteo Cavezzali is a writer and traveller. He published his first novel, Icarus, with publisher’s minimum fax in 2018, which won the Comisso Prize and the Volponi Opera Prima Prize. In 2019, Mondadori published his second novel, Nero d'inferno [Black of hell] about New York at the beginning of the 20th century. He has written for the theatre and worked with various newspapers and magazines, including Corriere della Sera. He is the founder and director of the ScrittuRa literary festival held in Ravenna, and Salerno Letteratura. Supercamper. Un viaggio nella saggezza del mondo [Supercamper. A journey into the wisdom of the world] (Laterza) is his third book.
