Vice President of Roma & Lazio Convention Bureau
Currently Vice President of the Convention Bureau of Rome and Lazio, President of the Tourism and Leisure Section in the leading industrialist association Unindustria and Member of Federturismo, the National travel and tourism federation, Stefano Fiori is CEO and General Manager of Univers Srl.
Born in Rome in 1956, at the end of his studies, in 1974, Fiori takes his first steps into the family business, when Univers has already more than 10 years of acknowledged expertise in the world of incentive travel and promotion. Over time he continuously deepens his engagement with the Company, of which he is Marketing Director in 1985, General Manager in 1993 and CEO since 2008.
His professional skills are further developed through a prestigious institutional career outside of Univers. Between 1989 and 1993 he is Counselor of Fiavet Lazio and a member of Fiavet Nazionale, an Association of Travel and Tourism Enterprises, of which he also becomes Vice-president in 2012. Between 1991 and 1994 he holds the chair of Counselor and Vice-president of Cotav, a Cooperative of Travel Agencies Owners, inside of which he achieves the role of President until 1999. Additionally, from 1998 to 2000 he joins the Jubilee Commission of A.D.R. (Aeroporti di Roma).
Stefano Fiori acquires new relevant positions in separate departments of Univers, becoming President of its Incentive unit in Milan between 2001 and 2007. This was the first Italian events company to open a branch in China, and the first European events company to organize an event for a private Chinese company outside of China. Since 2013, Chairman of Gosports by Univers, a sport association organizing sport events. From 2004 to 2011 he is President of Univers Formazione, a company that is an accredited training provider by the Ministry of Health for the training of doctors and managers in the medical field.
He hold prestigious roles in tourism-connected bodies and in Confindustria, the General Confederation on Italian Industry. Indeed in 2011 he is part of the TCCCI board, the Travel Consultants City Centre Italy, a global network focused on expenses management and business travel. Since April 2013 he is President of the Tourism Division of UNINDUSTRIA (the confederation of Italian industries) of the Lazio Region. The Division regroups and represents all major hotels and hotel chains, Alitalia, Aeroporti di Roma (ADR) etc.
Since 2015 he is part of the Technical Group of Unindustria for the Jubilee of Mercy and for the 2024 Olympic Games of Rome. Since 2016 he is a Member of the General Council of Federturismo, the National travel and tourism federation, and Head of the MICE group of Federturismo. Since 2017 he is Vice-President of the CBReL (Convention Bureau of Rome and Lazio), and from Feburary 2019, a Member of the Board of Directors of CBI, (Covention Bureau of Italy).
